Who is richer!? Or are they both the same amount of wealth it just looks like Gossip girl has more money because The OC is really casual and Gossip girl is very fancy!? What do you think!? i think they are about the same in terms of wealth but as you say GG shows really fancy stuffs!.!. but OC is kinda more laid back!.!. but look at seth's house too!.

The O!.C!. (Orange county) is a very wealthy as it is Southern California!.!.!.!. all of the homes (near the beach) are all over a million!.
In Manhattan, you can't buy an apartment (it's very hard to do so) and your rent is ASTRONOMICAL!
California is more of the tan surfer, laid back, drive in a convertible mercedes life style, and party hard!.
New York is more of the high-class, elegant, fast paced, fashion capital of the world!.
I would say, either lifestyle you have to be a millionaire to experience!.!.!.!.
