I think what they took offense at was pretty easy to understand actually!.
Imagine that I was running for mayor of your city!. You and your family had given me as much money as you legally could to help my election!. Then I put out an attack ad to show how my opponent is "famous for nothing" and just another product of the tabloid mindset of this country!.!.!.!.!.and I used YOUR DAUGHTER and Lindsay Lohan to do it!.
You essentially sponsored me so that I could show that your daughter is the "lowest common denominator" of pointless celebrity!. Meanwhile there are two wars going on, a recession, the lowest approval rating for Congress and the President, an energy crisis!.!.!.!.!.etc!.

Because she used her name with a political issue, and commercial!. If he would have said it at a confrence it would've been fine!.
