While I agree that the above answers about using pre-recorded footage seem more plausible, could it be that this contractor had been hired to come up with a way to make the building fall in a manner that would leave Angel relatively unscathed at the bottom, provided he was in a particular place when it fell!?

I don't think he was saved!. I think they switched over to a recorded piece from his practice!. I live in the area and he has been practicing in the building all week!. He simply opened door #2 and then they switched feeds and he simply took an alternative exit!. Criss Angel really screwed this stunt up!. He ruined magic for everyone!. I hate to even call him a magician anymore now he is just a fake!. If your gonna fake it at least make it believable!. He didn't even have a bump when he came out of the imploded building!. He was right on schedule!. after door three, pre-recorded tape shows him going up stairs and screwing around with locks on roof door, meanwhile, he takes a zip line down the stairs that are missing, out a door where there is a blast shelter out of the way of the building coming down, wherein, there is some concrete dust that he can throw in his face and clothes, then one of his spotters tells him to come out when the dust is clearing!. He comes out with a dumb look on his face and everyone is amazed that he survived when everything went SOOOOO WRONG !!!

umm, failed lol!. The "failure" was on purpose, it was to give suspense, and make the audience believe that he actually died!. but of course it's magic!. I think that when he got past the first lock and 2nd lock it was legit, however when he entered the staircase it was obvious those cameras are a fake, meaning it's prerecorded!.

He admits he's an ILLUSIONIST!. He even explains some of his 'magic tricks' after they are performed!. It's all about creating the ILLUSION that he's done something unthinkable or unbelievable!. I read the source mentioned above and seriously I think that he has just escaped some other way and been made up to look like he was in the building when it imploded!. Look I figured it out as soon as it started if you look at the tape you can see his mother is worried but as soon as he was out of the handcuffs she was told something and she looked relieved,watch it its obvious!.The last door was when he went down an alternate route you can even see it when the retired police officer locks him to the rail the look on the officers face like he was wanting to smile!.Look there will be no other Houdini and the craze of a real magician is over too much technology!.Taped rehearsals work well,look there is not any baby powder on his face when he comes out of the rubble,come on this guy has looks and friends in the right places,it was good enough to keep me up anyway so it was entertaining!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
alright so I LIVE IN CLEARWATER!.it is obviously LIVE!.soo anyway!.!.i taped and saw the whole thing LIVE!.he was hand cuffed to the bars i remember the timer starting!.3 minutes then pass!.!.and all of a sudden the air plain is up and criss is NOWHERE to be found!.!.the all of a sudden you see him RUNNING out like he is not even hurt!.!.MAGIC!?noooo!.!.i then went home and saw the footage of what you think was live t!.v!. and all that happened was right after the 2nd door it went to PRE-RECORDED footage!!when that was playing to the audience viewers at home he was taking a faster alternate route and then went all the way to the bottom SAFE zone!!!AFTER he then covered himself with dust and limped out making it look like he was just in the accident!!!I WAS THERE I KNOWW!.

I just watched it on t!.v!. previously recorded and yes it was live and live at one point in time!. here are my thoughts on it and you should agree after i give my facts!. first let me ask you this question!. Why didn't he show the other people the other cameras!? or go down and show the people door 3 and how it was locked!? Because when he was in the stairwell after he goes through door 3 it goes to a previous recording how he ran up the stairs making it look like he was doing at that for the rest of the time and messing with the lock!. I know people who can pick locks in less than 30 seconds so why would he be having such a problem picking the locks!? So when the time is up they cut out the cameras to make you think that is where he makes his escape!. but no he made his escape after he went through door 3 and went through a door or a cut wall they made instead of up the stairs then he covered himself in dust to make it look like he got out of all the rubble!. sorry i'm really tired and i don't know if it makes much sense but lets recap!. he breaks the glass for door one!. he picks the lock for door 2!. then he picks the lock for door 3 and goes through some wall they opened before!. but it looks like he goes up and messes with the lock for 1 min and 30 sec by previously recording footage of him running upstairs and messing with the lock!.

what i saw was that while going up the stairs he grabs something on the rope or maybe just pulling the rope opens a trap door and then when the cameras go out, he just slides down a pole out the back and while the building implodes and the dust blocks everyone's view he runs through the dust away from the crowd and then he shows himself at the front once the dust settles!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He should come up with something new, seen stuff like that in movies, prerecord something, show that to people as the "illusion" is being done meanwhile he goes down stairs and waits safe place out of harm till time is up!.

Yeah!!. I have no idea!. I was like HUH!?!?!? What happened!. I dont really get it!. But i really think that they should have ended it better, Like!. I dont know!. I had a feeling that he wouldnt go out on the helicopter but i thought that he'd be like magically somewhere else!. Criss Angel's Career officially ended 2night!. He messed up his live stunt lol, anyone who watched the live building explosion escape knows what i mean!.!.!. He couldnt get the first lock open, FREAKED OUT and kicked the window open and had to climb through into the other room ahaa, didnt even escaped and had to be rescued, its truely a disgrace to magic, he seriously sucks and doesnt deserve his own show!. If i were him, i wouldnt show my self on TV for a long time lol, they have all this hype on how he could of been killed and that if he wasnt on the roof by the time the helicopter left he would be crushed but they saved him, they should of let him been crushed, its seriously fail!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
