Question: Why is America so obsessed with celebrities and the media!?
I was just on vacation to Germany and when I was there, I didn't hear a lot of stuff about celebrities!. It was so nice!. The only time I did hear stuff was on an American news channel!. I miss Germany!. It's annoying turning on the news and then hearing something about a celebrity!. I want to watch the news about the world, not about a celebrity!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because America is full of sh*tty corporations that think everybody should look exactly alike and should care what 'celebs' are on which lists!. I could care less about celebrities!. What makes them that much better than anyone else!? Their money, the professionals that they have working for them!?

Maybe Germany has less idiots than us!. Since they don't have to cater to a bunch of celebrity obsessed dummys (like our 'entertainment' does) they don't show as much celebrity gossip/'news' on television!.

That's a good point!. I was in Chile for vacation this past year, and they weren't obsessed with celebs like the U!.S either!. When you turn on the T!.V for news there, you actually get news and not celeb sightings!.
