Question: Estelle Getty!?
I just read that she died and it's so sad! I remember watching the Golden Girls with my grandmother when I was younger, actually we always watched them together until she died about 5 years ago!. But Sophia was my favorite character, she was so sassy and funny!. I was really was saddened by the news, I don't really know why other than the fact that I associate her and the golden girls with my grandmother so much!.!.!.!.but anyway I would just like to get other's thoughts on this!. I loved watching The Golden Girls myself in the 80s!. I was a teenager back then, but I still enjoy the show to this day!. It felt odd that many teenagers wouldn't watch this show, but I bet many did!.
Estelle was definitely my favorite Golden Girl as well!. She's a very classy funny lady!.

I'm with you!. I have associated my feelings for a lost friend with an actress who has the same mannerisms my friend had!. I was also watching a movie with this actress the same week my friend died!. I found it terribly difficult to watch a movie with this actress for a while without thinking of my friend!. Just remember the good times you had with your grandmother and laughter you shared by watching this hilarious show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
My cousins and I used to watch it all the time, until they cut out the reruns and even though we loved all the girls, she was a favourite!.

The Golden Girls has to be one of the Funniest shows of all time! I still laugh when I've seen them twenty times!. Estelle had great dimension in her character Sophia Petrillo and brilliant delivery of her lines!Www@Enter-QA@Com
