Is elvis truly the king of rock n roll?!
Question: Is elvis truly the king of rock n roll!?
Answers:
Yes, he is!. Although he didn't invent rock 'n' roll, he was the one who made it popular!. Plus, he was a major influence to just about every major rock icon to come after him!. If he's not the King, who is!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
I believe he always will have that title due to 2 issues!. #1 He was consdered ahead of his time with introducing to Americans what he considered Rock N Roll and!. Number 2 was that he had left such an impact on the history of Rock music he was dubed so!. People who seen him were droping like flies unlike today!. The other point to realize is that he was also considered to be a "clean" performer meaning he didnt involve the use of glorafication of drugs, sex and wemon in his lyrics!. Even though todays breed of music lovers hear Elvis and at times consider him to be a noise rather than true music he will in the minds of at least the music world hold that title for eternity!. While I personally cant stand to hear his music and I am sure many others will agree, it will never remove the impact he made on the American music culture!.
On a side not I find it interseting what this generation consideres tallent!. While I dont see a shred of talent in bands like "Bucket Head, Insaine Clown Posse, Fred Durst and the countless other bands that completley bring shame to what true rock music is we see that the youth is catching on!. I am 33 years old and have been playing guitar for about 20 years now!. I have ventured off into building my own electric guitars as I have a love of the instuments!. I grew up listening to and have come to admire bands like Cream, Eric Johson,80's hair metal ect!. What I once desiered which was the pure talent of real guitar players seems to be makeing a comeback and hitting our youth by storm!. You tube shows many of the youth of today thinking they somehow are guitar gods when the only thing they have done was to coppie a few shreds from the 80's icons who truely brought the power of guitar to music!. From the mid 90's to today I cant think of any band worth recognition for any kind of "talent" as fare as instrument capability is involved besides those of old!.
We are however seeing a major comeback of 80's bands and the youth are eating it up wondering where in the world these bands came from and are starting to realize what true talent and ronck n roll is!. Bands like White Lion, ZZ Top, Dire Straits, Motley Crue, Extreme, Guns N Roses, Poison, Cinderella, Skid Row ect!.!.!.!.!.!. are opening the eyes of kids everywhere!. Its going to be interesting to watch the transformation of music for the next 5 years and see how these bands influance talent from kids around the world!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
