I think you have it right, it's so people can see you on the runway!. With runway models they look for someone at least 5'8" or 5'9!." Kate Moss is an exception at a little over 5'7!." I think it might change in the future, a model in the 50s or 60s did not have to be so tall, maybe 5'5" or taller!. There are all kind of models though, petite models, plus size (like an 8-10 like me), hand models, print models!. Not all models have to be really tall!. What they do want is someone who has nice skin, hair, teeth, who is attractive!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
no 5'4 isnt it has to be 5'7 at least and i dont know why but i know why they have to be skinny because they dont want girls with curves when they go on the runway when theyre doing a show for a dress or something because people are distracted if they have curves and they dont concentrate on the clothing "is what i heard" and i do believe it, why do you think they try to make the girls chest as flat as possible!? but tall not sure!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I dont know why!. but they have to be skinny so it looks like they are a hanger and the clothes are hanging off of them!.

Well tall people usually have nice long legs, and I guess that's something they like and look for in models!.
