Question: Does anyone else not really care that George Carlin died!?
I never found his humor funny!. As far as I know, he was a wreckless man with a habitual drug problem who hated America and organized religion!. It always sounded like he was full of spite!.
I said this in front of my family, some members which liked him at the peak of his popularity, and nearly got stabbed in the neck with a fork!. Am I the only one who feels the world isn't really any better, or any worse off, without him!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Unfortunately the only people that disliked George Carlin hasn't one iota of common-sense humor, comedy of which people are unable to laugh at themselves and possibly learn to laugh!

I will try to answer this question with a series of ideas!. George Carlin was funny, but I have always felt that he had it out for Christians, so I immediately changed the channel!. Being a Christian, I will openly admit to anyone that asks, I am not perfect in any way, shape, or form!. When you watch comedy, it will eventually become crude in some form or fashion, just look at the Disney subliminal messages!.!.!. George Carlin never crossed a line, because there was never a line to begin with as far as he was concerned!.
Obi wan kenobi from star wars stated that "if you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can ever imagine!." I hope that this does not become true with this comic!. It is very polite for people to look sad on tv and tell their thoughts tastefully about the deceased!. It also appears that it is a necessity to kiss their butt as well!. This is true in some cases, but not always!. I saw George Carlin on television for about 3 hours straight tonight, but only saw about 5 minutes of a flood in our country!.
Lets have a look in a different direction!. Brittany Spears started her career on a good foot, then stardom hit her and she went on a downward slope!. Now she is viewed as a person with limited mental capabilities!. The thing is, she started out ok and became a mess!. George Carlin was a mess to begin with and made a living out of it!. So why should be be set so high upon a pedistal!? Now lets look at Dr!. Martin Luther King Jr!. A great man with great ideas, and he was murdered!. This sudden act probably made his dream come true much faster than if he continued the way he was!. But there is no way of knowing!. Brittany spears was ok when she started out, so was Dr!. King!. But what if the media stayed on Dr!. King constantly, picking at everything he ever did and making a mockery out of him!? The country might not be the same!. All of this is starting to stray from the original question so lets pull it all back together!.
What it George Carlin started out with "clean" comedy, then suddenly, or gradually, turned to more fowl bits!? would he be looked down upon!? there is still no way of knowing!. Extremely long story short, this man lived his life in a way to convay comedy through nasty ideas, nasty words, and conducted himself in a way that is an obvious deviation to society!. He should be remembered, but he should not be praised!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
