Good point!. America is obsessed by celebrities!. I think it's because they represent success, power and beauty!. Most people want at least one of these traits!. We connect with them, well some do, making us feel we know them!. This is dangerous for we don't!. Celebrities are people just luckier than most of us and been blessed with gifts!.
As to important issues!? I don't think it's as grim as you may think!. We have to be aware of serious issues in this country for they effect us greatly!. This election has brought awareness in the young and the old as does the threat to our nation by terrorist!.
Even the media touches on these subjects!.
Hollywood has done many TV series including
Law and Order etc!. that touch on the issues of the day!. We really have our plates full right now with just everyday problems!. Celebrities should be our last concern!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
