Answers:
TOTALLY AGREE!! Spike Lee IS the EPITOME of the angry man! (Oh, and he aint so young -- 51 may not be old, but he'll be called an "old man" sooner than he knows!.) Spike Lee has built his career on being angry, and the feud wouldn't have started if he hadn't been the angry one! These people who think they have the right to dictate to others what they do and say and whom they cast in their movies are just amazing -- everybody ELSE is always the problem, it's never the fact that THEY THEMSELVES are just plain peed off at the world!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well Lee seems to turn everything into a racist act unless of course he is directing it, then it becomes okay to not cast any non-African Americans in his movies!. Although when they (non African Americans) are involved in his movies they always play the "White guy" role!. Lee attempts to "fight" racism but he himself manages to add fuel to the problem!. Eastwood did nothing wrong but make a great 2 sided film about true events!.!. When has Lee attempted to do the same in his movies!?!?
IMO Lee is trying to make a few bucks out of this like he did from the Katrina film!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think Lee is wrong here!. Eastwood's scope did not include the black soldiers who supported the troops who went into combat!. He's correct in that it was only white soldiers who raised the flag, and that's what the first film was about!. now, if Lee can prove there were black Japanese soldiers, then Eastwood is a racist for only casting regular Japanese in the second film!.

I guess Lee has been brainwashed by Al Sharpton et al!. Stop with using the race card every 30 seconds already!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

True dat!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

What Spike Lee said at Cannes was obviously meant more as a way to promote his WW2 movie than anything else which is why he has tried to end it with his peace and love comment!. I think Spike though should have made his comments with a different set of words though!. "Flags of our Fathers" was about the soldiers who were a part of the flag raising on Iwo Jima not really about the battle of Iwo Jima itself!. If the movie were about the battle of Iwo Jima itself then Spike lee would have a valid point about the exclusion!. As for "Letters From Iwo Jima" that was the story of Iwo Jima from the Japanese perspective, which makes it a lot harder to show what the experience of African American soldiers during the battle was!. And if you've seen the movie half the movie has those soldiers underground in that mountain, which I cannot recall the name, but the point is unless there were black soldiers fighting for the Japanese then you really can't them in the movie!. And as for Spike Lee saying that this isn't the plantation it shows he has some prejudices himself that he needs to look into!. Eastwood has made movies about Charlie Parker in Bird, a movie about euthanasia with a female as the main character in Million Dollar Baby, and of course a movie about the Japanese experience in Iwo Jima completely in Japanese not a bunch of Asian actors speaking in English!. So when someone critizes you Spike it doesn't automatiucally make them racist or prejudiced!. If it helps I'm a Filipino engaged to a Puerto Rican with two little blonde daughters!. Don't be colorblind be color celebratory!Www@Enter-QA@Com
