Hip-hop/Pop is one of the few genres where people have guest appearances on a frequent rate so it only makes sense to have the most popular artists of the moment appear on your album!. It's definitely a trend, and sometimes it's kind of annoying!. You buy a CD to listen to that artist, not 15 others mixed into the songs!. They all just want that big summer smash collaboration hit, you know!?
