There are several factors that can make it "hard" or "easy"!.
One, your band director!. It really depends on how involved or how laid back your marching band director is!. Some are very, very strict and perfectionists -- they get a great result and great effects, but if you aren't 100% committed, it can be a long season!.
Two, how well you do in heat!. You're usually on the field practicing in mid- to late-summer, and it is a LOT of practice -- plus, the first few games are HOT, especially if you have a heavy uniform!
Three, what kind of shape are you in!? The heart rate of a marcher during a performance is the same as a marathon runner!. Marching band is considered to be the second-most strenuous summer high school sport!. Carry a 20 lb!. trombone in 90 degree heat wearing a full uniform, and then concentrate on playing your instrument well while changing directions precisely every 16 steps or so!. It requires a fair degree of coordination and attention to detail!.
Having said all that, marching band can be a great deal of fun! There is a huge camaraderie among marching band members -- older ones help younger ones, and many bands travel and participate in competitions against other bands!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i don't know!. i've never been in marching band , but i got friends in it!. it seems like it could be hard but it can be easy as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
