What is a press tour?!

It's when singers/actors/authors go on tour (go from city to city, usually in a bus) to promote an upcoming release wether it be a their new CD, movie, book, or a new season for their TV show!. Stuff they usually do are book or CD signings, make appearances on talk shows, go on radio shows, etc!. Basically, they are going around telling people to go buy and/or watch what ever they are promoting!. But the term "press" refers to the media like, interviewers and entertainment magazines and websites and stuff like that!. The reason why it is called a press tour is because they answer the press's questions for them while promoting their upcoming projects!.
