What is your favorite Woody Allen movie and why??!
Question: What is your favorite Woody Allen movie and why!?!?
Answers:
Love and Death!.!.!.!.especially the duel scene where he shoots into the air, in a conscientious act that literally backfires!. Diane Keaton is also quite funny, in a send-up of old traditional Russian drama!.
Sleeper is another good one, as is Bananas (nice send up of Central American turmoil)!. But then again, Annie Hall is a classic romance that really set the conventional assumptions about romantic comedies upside down, which have since lapsed back into their regular formulaic standards (a shame)!.
Zelig is perhaps one of the most innovative, he put his character into so many historical films which would be so easy today with CGI!. And I'd be totally remiss if I didn't mention "What's Up, Tiger Lily!?" which was a hilarious -- and merciful -- reworking of dialogue from what must've been an otherwise mediocre spy movie!.
Ooh! Ooh! Crimes and Misdemeanors too!.!.!.!.which is one of his darker, moodier comedies!.!.!.!.but it still hits the mark and really gets one thinking about the general fairness of life and people's expectations!. Alan Alda is a terrific self-absorbed twerp!.
And lastly, Antz!.!.!.!.it's a great cast and how else can a romance between Allen and Sharon Stone work, if not underground!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Purple Rose of Cairo!. Great story and Mia Farrow and Jeff Daniels were perfect in their parts, very evocative of the era!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
