Cook was a better actor!. He did everything and anything he could to act in a certain way to get votes!. He played the game!.

David Archuleta is much more talented, but I think the judges praised him too much and it had the effect to rally Cook's fan!. It's simple reverse psychology, the same thing happened to Carly when Simon complimented her it turned out to be the kiss of death!.
