What was Jim Morrison of the Doors like as a person?!

Question: What was Jim Morrison of the Doors like as a person!?
Answers:
I wasn't born until many years after Jim died, so I personally never got to know him while he was living!. Many different people can also have many different opinions on this based on their experiences!. However, I read a lot about him from many different sources, and have spent a lot of time focused on this!. also, I think by looking at videos of The Doors not performing shows his true personality, as you can sometimes look at somebody and get a certain feel for their personality!. Basically, Jim was a normal person, an average person who led a life of a profession that was not so ordinary!. I think that if you know a person when they were younger, you will know at least part of their personality later on in life!. Jim was raised in the south by a military family!. Children from military families, and often times people from the south really believe in manners and class (think of the southern hospitality, southern gentleman type of thing) You can hear this in interviews with Jim, most of them he was very polite and conscience of others!. Jim was also a very quiet person, I have reports of people seeing him in a restaurant or bar, and he would just be sitting there watching other people, not really saying anything but just observing!. These people were amazed that someone that is so seemingly loud and confident on stage could be so quiet and reserved in their everyday life!. Jim was also very intelligent and artistic, so he got some of the qualities from there too!. People said that Jim often times carried around books, they said it was his security blanket if he was nervous or bored with the social situation!. I think that at times Jim was very mellow or passive!. Jim wouldn't really complain or say anything about feeling sick or tired or the complaints that most people shared!. I read that Jim didn't really like to talk about himself, and would not like to talk about The Doors all the time or anything like that, people say that he was more interested in your life and what was happening, he also seemed sort of embarrassed about The Doors and having all of this recognition and titles he didn't particularly deserved!. He wasn't materialistic at all, he wore the same clothes for period on end (which people found sort of disgusting, but I guess he didn't care) and never really had a steady house he lived at (he would stay with his girl friend or would rent a small motel room to live in, he once lived on a rooftop) He spent all the money he earned with The Doors on publishing a poetry book, a movie, and buying a boutique for his long time girl friend (a dream of hers) Jim was genuinely a kind person!. This is just a small example of what I mean, there are bigger examples but this is one that you can see rather than be blabbing about it!. http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=iCi3PsXs6!.!.!. It is obvious he doesn't want to give his room number to this girl, instead of telling her to f*** off like some musicians would, he says something else so he doesn't upset her!. Later on, they are being annoying while he is trying to buy the concert brochure thing, pulling his hair and touching him!. Instead of freaking out which a lot of people would do he just jokes around with them!. There are many more traits but I don't want to make the answer too too long, I think you get the idea though!. As much as Jim could be humorous, fun, and kind, he could also be mean and slightly annoying!. Most of the time that this happened it was because of his drinking!. If he wasn't drinking he was great, but if he was he could be rude, and had a very dirty mouth!. My family says that people have an Irish Tongue if they react in a sharp way in conversation or argument, I am not exactly sure if others use that saying, but Drinking Jim had an Irish Tongue!. Anyway, Jim would like to push buttons and challenge authority, people who are not used to this or who would react in a weird way would be upset, and this would almost egg him on!.
Please don't let these bad characteristics fool you, people become totally different when they drink, as Jim said, "I drink so I can speak with assholes, this includes myself" The sober Jim was totally different than the drinking Jim, so it is not completely accurate to judge one based on the other!. If you had any other questions on this, or wanted to know of a certain aspect of personality you can email me, I only named the major ones in efforts not to make the answer too long (which seemed to have failed)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I never met the man , he was dead before I became a fan!. (or is he!?) But the first descriptive word that comes to mind is A__hole !. Frank Lisciandro pardon spelling here wrote in his book about attending an awards event with Morrison!. They had been drinking wine all night and Morrison wanted to use the washroom!. Frank made him stay as he was next to receive the award, so Morrison grabbed an empty bottle and filled it under the tablecloth(if you know what I mean)!.
He placed the bottle on the table, received the award, and left!. Of course the others at the table got a neat surprise when they re-filled their glasses!.
Artistic, talented, yes but that word best describes him as a person!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

he was probably a nice guy, but like most most musicians at the time they lived the fast lane and gave in to temptation of drugs and booze and burning the candle at both ends
they forget to get off the merry go roundWww@Enter-QA@Com

drunk, high, talentless, egotisticalWww@Enter-QA@Com
