Unfortunately, the only somewhat famous asian singer in the US is William Hung!.!. good lord >!.>
However, there are some famous singers in Asia who were born in US, ie Leehom "Alexander" Wang from New York, a mandopop singer; Wilbur Pan from LA (i think), another mandopop singer; David Tao (from LA too perhaps!?), another mandopop singer; MIcky Yoochun from DBSK from Virginia a k-pop singer; Jin (from somewhere in CA), a Cantonese rapper; and Utada HIkaru from NY, a j-pop singer!.
There are also some asian singers who have toured in US, such as Bi Rain (k-pop singer), BoA (k-pop and j-pop singer), and Leehom Wang (i think)
Note: k-pop = korean pop; j-pop = japanese pop, mandopop = mandarin pop, as in mainly from Taiwan!.
Note#2: I highly recommend all the artists I've mentioned ^o^
