Why the rockartists in the 60′s did not behave like a nowadays childish junk cel!
Question: Do more research. I think you'll find that they were just as bad as today's artists. We have a lot more people working for gossip rags today than then, but Janis was a fall down drunk, the Carpenters had tons of problems, Kieth Richards can't remember ANYTHING from the entire year of 1969, the list goes on and on.
Artists have always been and always will be self-absorbed ego-maniacs, and the more popular they become, the worse they are likely to behave.

Because sleaze tabloids, shock TV and the paparazzi machine didn't exist then like it does now. The "stars" acted the same way then as they do now, maybe worse. You just didn't hear about it then like you do now.
