I think it depends on what they were famous for, whether or not they were happy and whether or not they had good managers. Isn't the kid from Leave It to Beaver in real estate? He was a child actor. Bobby Sherman who was a teen idol became a police officer. Most celebrities keep on acting or singing or performing until they die. Some write books, some produce. Ron Howard, child actor then adult television star went on to become a famous director/producer. There are as many different stories as there are people.
Probably just live their lives. Hopefully they saved enough money to live on.

often they will actually work on producing or directing, they will generally stay in the entertainment bussiness they just arent heard about.
They make reality shows or pose nude for Playboy in hopes of reviving their career and fame.
They usually get their own reality shows!
reality tv. i think a lot of them have problems not being in the limelight, im guessing depression and mental health issues are common. i think i might be depressed in such a situation.
i would say they spend time with their kids and family in a "normal" enviroment without all the cameras in their face.
