Everyone has heard about this. It was all in the news at the time, it was a big deal. I guess you must be too young to remember it. She was only 17 for a short time and turned 18 not long after they started dating. He is only a pedophile if they had sex when she was 17 and so far no one has found any proof of that. Boy, that was a long time ago I had forgotten all about that seinfeld shoshanna thing.
You are a little slow aren't you. You don't even have the facts right about the situation. There is nothing illegal about dating someone under the age of 18. Her parents were totally OK with it, why aren't you? Has something like this happened to you? You sound like a victim. It is only illegal if they had sex and Shoshanna insists they never did when she was 17. As for the dateline stuff, the reason the men get into trouble is because when they are on-line they are told the person is underage and they still chat on-line about having sex with them. That is what they get in trouble for, they state they are going to have sex with an under age person and go to the home of that person with the intention of having sex with them, now that is illegal. Unfortunately a lot of the "arrests" have been thrown out of court for various reasons.
I don't think there is anything wrong with an age difference I am with an older man. I was in my mid-twenties when I started dating him and it is great. Yeah, I think a seventeen year old is a bit young, but men are immature so, the age difference is probably not as bad as it sounds. If you have a problem with age differences you should stop reading about it.
