I've always thought that Ed Harris was under rated..
My vote would either have to be Sean Penn or Johnny Depp because of the diversity of roles they play.

Leo Dicaprio is really good, especially in "The Man in the Iron mask". Also Clark Cable was terrific. Tom Cruise might have some problems, but he's a good actor too. Of all of young hollywood, I can only think of Dicaprio of having real good acting.
Others too would be Denzel Washington, Charles Heston,Johnny Depp. Again these are seasoned actors.
Mr.Clooney manages to look gourgeous in his 50s- And he can act too!
