Was Count Chocula based on a real person?!

Question: I know Count Chocula isn't real, but maybe he was inspired by a real vampire who somehow liked chocolate better than blood or something like that. I personally have tried both blood and chocolate, and I think chocolate is better. But I'm not sure what the cereal is made of, though I'm pretty sure it's not chocolate. You don't think it's blood, do you? Now I'm getting all nervous.

Pete, I'm pretty sure that only the Romanian version of Count Chocula contains actual blood. The other varieties are made of dog's heads and chicken butts. Count Chocula is actually a real person. He currently lives in Brooklyn, but keeps a low profile since he contracted AIDS from a bum box of cereal he ate in Bucharest.

No just adapted to a count, Dracula, and someone with an overly imaginative imagination. But it worked for the time, the cereal came out. It was a winner. Not so popular now, though.

They needed something to compliment Frankenberry & Boo Berry, but it could've been based on that 70's movie Blackula. :^/ I personally hate cereal with marshmellows. Marshmellows belong in rice krispie treats & hot cocoa - nothing else.

count chocoula loves chocolate
