What's so good about The Beatles?!
Question: I'm a fan, but I'm just curious, what do you feel made them such a huge band in history?
Do you think that if they came out on the music scene today they would still be as successful?

I don't know if the Beatles would be such a big deal now - although I would like to think so. They were the right people in the right place at the right time. The 60's was such a great decade for rock - look at how many legends emerged from that time. The Beatles were fresh, with their own take on music. Some kick butt lyrics didn't hurt either. They were a phenomina of their time.
Today's music scene is so different. TONS of one hit wonders. We won't be hearing about 99% of the acts now in 40 years as we still talk about the Beatles.

beacuse of there songs, they are really really good and they have a lot of fans.. and i mean alot!!!!
Nothing. I never liked them one bit.
Their music had true meaning. Yes, there are some bands out there still with songs that are actually about something but there are very few. They had happy songs, sad songs, weird songs, funny songs and just about everything. I am 13 and i was never forced to listen to them, but when i started to i got hooked. They are(not were) amazing!
