Question: My grandpa (1909-1988) said so much time before rumours about this were spread. He said he was his first cousin and nobody believed him ,but time passed and now I have seen this amazing rumour in many web sites.I feel bad about my grandpa because he was born near Almeria and that`s the place where Walt was supposed to be born.I think it is much coincidence .Surely my grandpa was saying the truth!

I have been to the place you speak of. It is Mojacar, very close to Almeria. Disney was born in the old town above the beach, a beautiful old Spanish village. This is definately the truth, it is stated by tour guides and the locals remember the family too. He left for America at a very young age I believe. Your grandpa told the truth.

no, he was californian

ummm. no.

no

NO!

hell yea chica

I believe hes frozen

No...he is not, he is american.

I have a hard enough time believing that he was human.

Disney was Irish

Why not? I believe he was a great man, and there are indeed great men in every race. I would not find it hard to believe at all that he was spanish or any race.

i guess it's possible, but this is what his wiki page said:

Walt Disney was born to Elias Disney an Irish-Canadian, and his mother, Flora Call Disney, who was of German-American descent.[3] His father moved to the United States from Canada after his parents failed at farming there.[4] After Walt's birth, Elias along with with his family moved to Marceline, Missouri.[3] While in Marceline, Disney developed his love for drawing. One of their neighbours, a retired doctor named "Doc" Sherwood, paid him to draw pictures of Sherwood's horse, Rupert. He also developed his love for trains in Marceline, which owed its existence to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway which ran through town. Walt would put his ear to the tracks in anticipation of the coming train.[3] Then he would look for his uncle, engineer Michael Martin, running the train.

The Disneys remained in Marceline for four years[5], moving to Kansas City in 1910.

Yes

Only if being Irish Canadian and German American is "Spanish". I think your grandpa was just pulling your leg, so to speak.

doubt it...

Bugga! and I thought he was a Durham Miner. x

Disney was born in Chicago. He wasn't Spanish. His mother was German-American and his father was Irish-Canadian. It's not disputed; it's fact. Look it up.

That rumor is as much fairy tale as anything the Disney company has created.
Also, for those of you who think he was such a great guy, I hate to disillusion you, but he was antisemetic AND racist. The Disney Company, great, Walt Disney, NOT a good guy. Sorry.

he was born in chicago, irish-canadian father, german-american mother

Si, es veridad. Y me gusto pollo.
lol

The absurdities that people invent.

His father, Elias Disney, was an Irish-Canadian. His mother, Flora Call Disney, was of German-American descent.

No.

But does it matter?

NO!
ur grandpa is a LIAR! :D
