because Elvis Presley wasn't a sell-out to pop culture..... he did his own thing. he helped to invent rock 'n roll, and his music has always been totally original, and Elvis wouldn't fit in with those dirty liberal trash.
Elvis Presley was quite an accomplished singer, musician, etc. His taste in music was far different, yet along the same lines, in rock and roll. He was accustomed to rock, country, and gospel music. Not hard rock.
