Does anyone like Lauren Conrad's designs?!

Question: It's all just really plain, not that I wouldn't wear some of it but a real designer needs to have a little something more. It doesn't really show much creativity or talent when there is nothing unique in an entire line. Put a high price on a halter top and suddenly it's designer? I think she needs more vision, what do others think?

I think Lauren Conrad is a complete joke and I can't believe people actually take her seriously. First of all, she was fired from her supposed job at Teen Vogue, however, I believe that she never worked at Teen Vogue in the first place and rather just showed up to the offices as a part of The Hills. And as for her so-called designs, if you can even begin to call them that, they are truly some of the most basic, boring things I've ever seen. To think that there are so many talented designers struggling to make it in the fashion industry, and then for her to have her own fashion runway show and everything, along with all of the fame and fortune, is just despicable to the mind and to the society and culture today.

I like it in the sense that it IS simple. But you are right, $50 for a halter top is ridiculous. and she does need more stuff. and definitely more ideas. You can find some of that stuff at target for like $20!

Oh sorry, $85 for a halter top.

no

Yeah, but it's all about her "label", you know......People will pay anything with a celebrities mark on it, no matter how plain it is.........

no not really. is amature

I agree, she has such great fashion sense, she could do way way better. That stuff reminds me of forever 21 or target..I'd like to see more creativity,or a smaller price tag lol

She's just starting out, so give her a little time. Just imagine other designers first lines of clothes.. probably weren't too great. Yeah, they may seem high price, but think of where she lives and where she shops.. EVERYTHING is high price.. her's might even be cheap compared to others.

Give it some time, and more creative things will come from her.. but I do like what she has now.

she sure does for the price she charges cute dress but simple /ypur right and only sold in high end stores not even macys jeezzzzzzzz.

I like her clothing, but for what it is, I think it's unreasonably priced.
It probably would have been a smarter idea for her to take her designs to somewhere like Steve and Barry's like Amanda Bynes and Sarah J. Parker, that way it would be able to cater to a much larger audience.

Its alright, very simple, and costs too much for something i can find at target.

Yeah, I think her clothing line is WAY overpriced. Not everyone is on a TV show and can afford this stuff. She would be better off doing what other people do- sell their line at Macys like Jessica Simpson, or Steve & Barrys like Sarah Jessica Parker. Jessica's line is very affordable, Sarah-Jessica has nothing over $19.99. I think Lauren should have started there, then moved up to high fashion after having some experience.
What's funny is that Heidi Montag just unveiled her fashion line. I saw her on TV last night saying that Lauren's line is too high fashion and too expensive. She said hers is more affordable and trendy. I don't like Heidi, but I think she makes a good point! Personally, I would not buy clothes from either of them!
