Dylan or Dylon is a masculine name - short, strong but with a softer edge to it - it originates from Wales and means Son of the Sea! For some bizarre reason I always automatically assume that Dylan suits a dark haired person better than a fair haired one!
It is a popular name but until now hasn't been overused! Some people insist that the name is unisex but I really don't think that this could be the case or the meaning would change to Person or Daughter of the Sea and this is not the case and not true to the history of this cute name!
