Because the media is paid for by Companies (ex. Commercials). The companies push consumerism towards a white demographic population. So media will cater their content to that population. That's why when close your eyes and think about American it's usually white and not other colors (ex. Native American).
I've been working in Advertising/Marketing for 8+ years. My job is to force feed white consumers with crap products.
That's why I prefer the internet. It's the next rennaisance. It doesn't force feed you with consumerism or crap reality t.v.

correction Keanu Reeves is part lebanese...thats not technically asian. and yes theres tons of asian hollywood stars, but since they focus on their culture so much they restrict themselves to asian films, thus becoming more famous in Asian cities
