Absolutely not! Celebrities are people who have the advantage of being, just that, celebrities. Being an actor /actress does not give them any more political knowledge than we, ourselves, possess. The largest percentage of celebrities lead such dysfunctional lives, could you imagine if everyone took into account their political views? Their are some, granted, that are intelligent and well informed, as an example, Oprah. Although I am not a huge Oprah fan, she fought her way to get where she is by brains and guts. She overcame obstacles that many, would never have the courage to, therefore, her opinion would hold more weight than say, Tom Hanks. Good question!
Nope I don't really pay much attention to who they endorse or denounce politically because I don't live in the US so it doesn't influence me in any way.
But theres's nothing wrong with actors speaking up for something they believe in, they may be paid to entertain you but that doesn't mean they have to be robots.
No. They might be good to look at. But I don't have confidence in their intelligence.
I ahve no idea what these celebs think they are doing to help/hurt any candidate. Just b.c I like someone's acting does not mean that I want to have their same political beliefs. What do they know about politics? Probably not much more than anyone in particular. They just draw more attention to themselves, which may also be an objective.
