I love both of them, but I think John was a better person.

Yeah, I agree that Paul was a kinder person. John wanted to promote peace. They were both good guys.
Paul was a kinder person. John abused his first wife and basically abandoned his first son, Jullian. That's who Hey Jude is really written for. I love them both though.
