it astounds me how far shes come as far as her talk show subjects.
Who the hell is this Dr. Oz. dude. I think she thinks shes a doctor by association. She will actually STOP AN EXPERT from talking to interject her OWN words of wisdom. Are you kidding lady. UGH im actually happy she is getting her own 24 hr network. so she will have more time to talk about herself. so she can get it all out before her main show. Actually shes OPRAH, she will probably file a petition with the federal government to extend the day by 2 hrs so she will have more time to talk about herself and her $600 jogging suits or $ 200 Doggie pedicures.
Remember when she used to put hidden cameras in to catch nannies beating kids? Classic Oprah.

She can't do anything without trying to glorify herself.
I have never been that much of a fan. I used to watch her show every so often out of boredom-but she really annoyed me one day when she titled a show something to the affect of "Little ways to pamper yourself" and then had these ridiculously priced items that the average person would not buy. For example: $200+ pajamas. Lately, she has seemed like she is trying to really put herself out there as a pious "do gooder" but it seems all for the limelight. But, whatever, the needy families still benefit.

i always find myself defending oprah. yall cant stand to see a succesful, wealthy and influential black women. oprah rocks and shes the ****. big up to oprah.
I have never been a big fan of Oprah, but I think she has done some good things. I do think she could do even more than she has since she is America's richest woman.
don't just stop with her there is a show of cackling hens that comes on and then there is nancy grace
l'm not a regular viewer of her show these days but l like her. l do not agree with some of her beliefs but l appreciate the goodness of her heart. She's a very generous person.
I absolutely loved her when she first got her talk show...she acted really down to earth and interested in her guests (who weren't all famous people). .....but for a number of years now I have felt that she feel superior to the very people who made her famous....I get a kick out of her recommending Her "favorite things" to her audience.....most of us couldn't afford to buy any of them. She's lost the common touch...she even speaks now with a phony socialite accent! I haven't watched her in a few years now.

the only thing that annoys me is that she seems to prefer blacks over whites...
like this one lady WROTE A MOVIE and oprah was going on about it. the movie was about when blacks were discriminated against and a story of a black family or something defeating odds or something...
and she had the actors up for the entire time etc...
and then the last few minutes(no joke!!!)she goes, "and this is the lady who wrote this movie" (a white girl)...
SHE WAS IN THE AUDIENCE!!! SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO GO ON STAGE NOR BE SPOKEN TOO!!!

Now, I bet if she were black, Oprah would have put that girl on stage AND would have put her on stage for longer than a second AND would have spoken with her.

Slimthing - I defend Michael Jackson all the time, but the difference between Michael and Oprah is the fact that Michael doesn't donate to charity because in the end it makes him more money.
Anyway, Oprah donates money to charities because in the end it makes her more money. She's a smart business woman, but by NO MEANS is she a philanthropist. By her donating money to charities (which she makes sure you see the check being handed over) she boosts her ratings, boosts her merchandising, etc. because people want to buy Oprah things because they feel that she's doing something good for the world. The truth of the matter is the lady has about 1 Billion dollars that she could live without (she's worth 1.4 Billion, she could live comfortably with 400 Million) yet she you don't see her donating that money now do you?
I agree! She's very annoying and needs to lose the show. It's getting pathetic.
I agree...her novelty wore off a long time ago, that's for sure. I think she should go ahead and retire.
