I doubt it anyone who pretends to be one is just pretending. I don't believe celebs would be on here with there own names.
There are some celebs on Y!A. They will have the green "Offical" sign. I have seen Tyra Banks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Enrique Iglesias, Oprah Winfrey, and many others on Y!A. You have to keep in mind though, that they may not manage these. They are rarely on Y!A and do not really answer questions. I think it is more for looks and just having a place on Y!A so people can connect to them if they want to by adding them to their contacts.
