I think it would be bizarre for ANY actor (method or otherwise) to still be dressed & acting like their character from a film they did more than a year ago.

I totally agree with that!! Just like Dustin Hoffman should have gone to the Academy Awards in '82 dressed like Tootsie! I remember being so annoyed when Peter O'toole was at the '62 awards with a tuxedo on! Why was he not wearing his Lawrence of Arabia garb?? I think all actors and actresses should have to wear the costumes from their movies that they are nominated for!! This is a MUST!!
