Bob Hope. He was a talented man who drew crowds over many eras. He also gave consents to soldiers in every was from World War II to the Persian Gulf.
Honestly, it is very difficult, but I would have to say either George Carlin or Chris Rock. They both have a very strange, but enunciated way of just being out there, coming up with something you would never expect...but it's expected, because it's them. I have never seen any stand-ups from either that I would not watch a hundred times and still laugh.
