I'm not sure whether or not she is actually a lesbian but it was rumored that she is in relationship with Kerry Brothers who is a songwriter and record producer. I agree with you that she definitely does act like a lesbian.
I think she is straight. Just because someone has a gay pride flag doesn't mean that they are, it could mean they were supporting a friend. She never struck me as a lesbian, I don't think she is. She is very secretive, so I imagine if she was NO ONE would no about it.

First of all, that is NOT a "gay pride flag". Those ARE the standard colors for those keys on that synthesizer keyboard. To imply that multi-colored buttons are a gay pride flag is desperately reaching at straws.
Those pictures of Alicia and her friend are the weakest evidence of lesbian-ism I've ever seen! They are half-hugging. There's like a foot of space between them.
In an article with Complex Magazine, Alicia Keys first rejected the script for "Smokin Aces" because the character was too stereotypical and a lesbian. She said, "what's this gay sh!t?" She later reconsidered after her agent pressured her and the script was changed so that her partner in the movie is a lesbian but Alicia's character is straight. Alicia said, "Well, my character wasn't the gay character, my partner was... There was originally a whole scene where I confronted her about it, and said, "I feel like you're kind of pushing up on me, what's going on?" They left that out; they wanted it to be very ambiguous, which is cool. I figured that people would probably run with it, and there was a little misconstruing about it, but at the end of the day, it wasn't a big deal."
I don't know why you say that she has always looked like a lesbian - that's a pretty ignorant thing to assume. Lesbians come in all shapes and sizes. She doesn't even fit into the out-dated stereotypical image of a lesbian. The rumors began when a reporter wrote that she was "bi" after interviewing her. People assumed it was bisexual but Alicia actually said she is biRACIAL (her mother is white and her father is black).
