Question: I still dont understand why people think that the Eagles Greatest Hits beat Michael Jackson's Thriller in worldwide sales. I saw many people complaining on Yahoo! Answers that Michael Jackson is being a snob for writing on his new Thriller 25 album..."The biggest selling album in the world"...and they are saying that the Eagles Greatest Hits CD was the Biggest Selling Album in the world.
The Eagles beat Thriller in US Sales...but Michael owns the worldwide charts.
Why do you think that people were so against of Mr. Jackson for putting on his new album "The biggest selling album in the world"..when Thriller was truly the "Biggest Selling Album in the World" ?

To my knowledge, Thriller was the #1 selling album of all time worldwide. I don't think that record has been beat to this day, but I might be wrong.
