Thank you for this comment/question. Have a star! I grew up with Freddie in my headphones in my teen years and I can't imagine my life without his voice and music being part of it. You are dead right - he was a genius. I loved him so much that I ended up living in England (moved here from Canada) because he influenced me so much. You and me are the lucky ones because we appreciate him.

I don't idolize him but I do think he was one of the most talented musicians/singers/performers of all time. It is sad. He was amazing.

i am also 32 and idolise the great freddie ,,whenever i hear love of my life i get mad goosebumps...shame he died,,such a waste of talent.

sorry to go against the grain, but he was moderately talented, no more. and his death was self-inflicted.

I liked his voice but I wouldn't go so far as to idolise him.

Idolize?...no
but you gotta admire the guy......a real one of a kind

I was just jamming to another one bites the dust on youtube. I don't idolize him but i think he was very talented, brilliant, and could carry a tune.

haha noooo!!!

Oh man.
I must admit, I do in fact, idolize Freddie Mercury.
Brian as well.
I must be one of the only 14 year olds who does, and nobody I know understands it,
but back in October (Yes, I'm a newcoming fan),
my sister introduced real Queen (as in NOT WWRY, Bo Rhap, etc.) to me in the form of the Don't Stop Me Now music video,
and I was hooked.
and of course, I immediately fell in love with Freddie's voice, charisma, flamboyance, style, performances, everything.

It makes me want to cry when I think of how he died 2 years before I was born.
And I actually do cry when I watch or listen to These Are The Days Of Our Lives.

*sigh* I want to find somebody like Freddie in my lifetime, but I know I never will as he really was one of a kind.

RIP, Freddie,

Yes, I do idolise Freddie.
It's not easy not to, when you've seen him live like I did. That was in 1986, at Wembley.
Ever since, Freddie has been a great influence in my life. I learned that you can reach your goals, once you try hard enough and you believe in yourself. I learned to appreciate art and I studied interior design, cos he was interested in it.
Without him knowing he taught me so much!
Thank you Freddie!
