They claimed it was due to editting and they couldn't possibly fit everyone in. I found it completely tasteless for them not to include him in the montage.
maybe he's never been nominated :(
I found that very insulting. It doesn't matter if you weren't nominated or not, he was an actor who died.
if he died after jan. 31/08 then he wasn't included
as stated, he was editted out because "there was not enough time to fit everyone in" but also there are reports stating that it was because of the manner of his death and that he was not a member of SAG or the academny.
