Marion is a stellar talent & because of this there can only be one of her. They broke the mold when they made her. She is lucky to have been born in France so less influenced by some less tasteful aspects of American culture. I love your latina beauties and hoped to see more of Selma Hayak (Frieda Kahlo biog movie) I love to hear Spanish spoken in Hollywood movies, such a rich language. I was surprised at the number of photos of Jessica Alba on the red carpet & couldn't help but think why? this girl is lovely but not a nominee, so yes I found that odd & irritating, when we really wanted more of Marion Cotillard. I am sorry I missed Marion's speech ,( Oscars only on Sky here) glad to hear it was elegant & gracious, well, thought it would be. Marion's performance in Edith Piaf biog" La vie en Rose" is a tour de force, absolutely fantastic. It is not very often that an actress comes along who can play such a demanding role, I am unsure if it was Marions singing in the movie or Piaf's dubbed over, but very good production values in the movie & fantastic makeup. If you haven't seen it be warned it is harrowing but also delightful. This Marion Cotilliard is incandescent as a young Piaf, hope we see more of her. The guy who plays her American boxer lover (sorry don't know his name) is very good . Their scenes together are heartfulled. but do we need more of her calibre yes probably. The dumbing down of Hollywood if that is even possible to go lower, is sad to see. I'd like to see woman in juicier roles not just as satellites of love, but there obviously is hope if the Academy chose this woman Marion Cotilliard as best actress, it seems they sometimes recognize a class act when they see one. I find what you said very insulting to Latinas. First of all, Jessica Beil is of French descent. The actresses you picked for the most part have little talent, except for Eva Mendez who I think is a very good actress. Eva Longoria-Parker is the one you forgot, and yes she has no talent. You should not judge actors on ethnicity because it comes off as being racist, judge on their acting quality and mannerisms.

i didn't see La Vie en Rose but just from the clips you can tell that she has talent unlike jessica alba and eva longoria
I'm not here~ I'm pretty sure she was speaking of their acting...not their race....and how they were famous for their looks alone. Don't always be looking for racism in the world and you will find less of it...
