To cutiepi22213: have you even watched La vie en rose? I've watched all the movies in that category and Marion Cotillard was brilliant (from her physical to psychological transformation)!Even though the movie was not great, she was.
Sure Cate Blanchett was great too but the task Cotillard had to undertake was tremendous:to incarnate one the most famous French women.

I REALLY wanted Juno to win best picture.
I thought, "Finally! A //different// kind of movie is going to win best picture, instead of one of those predictable, humorless, 3-hour long period pieces that always win."

i was upset by the best actress winner and the best picture winner..i really wanted Juno to win despite the fact that I knew it wouldn't...i had never even heard of the winner for best actress or the movie and i'm pretty in tune with movies and hollywood etc...
the biggest acadamy award upset of 2008 was Juno not winning best picture of the year and Ellen Page not winning best actress!! I think this because it would have been great for a new type of movie to win then a predictable movie man I wish Juno had won best picture of the year. Ellen page should have won Best actress because she has all this potential and she is great Iwish she had won. But i am very happy than Diablo Cody won be screen play she really deserved it! : )
