I think Alicia Keys is the better singer. I love her voice and songs. but mariah carey is close.
Alicia Keys. She has a gorgeus voice and way more class. Mariah Carey always looks like she's ready to fall over or out of whatever boob dress/top she's wearing.
Mariah.. she has a much wider range even thought I like Alicia better.

I loved Alicia Keys' first album, but in her recent stuff she sounds like someone had a gun to her face while she recorded vocals. Also... a little constipated.

I love 'em both, but for different reasons. I really respect Alicia Keys for her voice, her piano, her writing and her overall musical knowledge and talent. But I respect Mariah for her range, her styling and the intelligence she exhibits in her delivery. She's also a really good actress. In both Glitter and Wisegirls, acting just seemed to come completely naturally to her. Alicia struggled a bit in The Nanny Diary, but in her defense, she hasn't had much of a chance to cut her acting teeth yet.
Mariah, though, has cuter feet. ;-)
I'd have to go with Mariah She can hit alot more notes than Alicia and I just like her voice and music better.

i like her better though but mariah is a better singer
you can't really compare because they have different voices
mariah definitely has the better range
her range is amazing. She can break glass (well when she was younger but i don't know about now)
and Mimi is def. more experienced
but miss keys has got it going on and her voice is so raw and natural. plus she writes her own lyrics and her creativity shines through in every performance
