If your dad doesn't want to sit through the concert -- and I don't think you realize the torture of a grownup having to sit through a teenage pop concert, after driving 70 miles there and then back again -- you can't force him. Try to come up with at least part of the money yourself and try to persuade (please note the spelling) a friend's parent to take you.

can't help u there, buy the tickets w/ your own money, and an extra for a friend, and see if your friends mom wll take u two to the concert.

okay, i needed to do this and this is wht i did ... i told my parents i'd buy the tickets myself, then i mentioned to my 2 friends about the concert, so they asked their parents and one of them is now taking us !!! If tht doesnt work, go with a friend & tell ur dad tht he could go get something to eat or go see a movie or anything time-consuming, while u & ur friend go to the concert !!! If that doesnt work ask for the tickets as early b-day, or christmas present !!! HOPE U CAN GET THERE !!!
