I remember this one actor who got nominated post-humously, an Italian actor named Massimo Troisi. He was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "Il Postino" in 1994. But he didn't win though.
The same thing also happened to James Dean, Peter Finch, and Spencer Tracy.
I imagine the acceptance speech would be a bit wooden. Tip top.
I think you probally still could, another member of the family would just have to accept it on your behalf
