Question: I went through phases, Gary Numan was my first obsession at the tender age of 8, I had a lifesize poster of him on my bedrrom door!! Adam and the Ants , Frankie goes to Hollywood, the Smiths and the Cure. I was never into Wham or Duran Duran, my friends thought I was weird!! I was lucky enough to 'experience' the whole post 2nd World war explosion of music - from Bill Haley - Presley - Beatles - Stones - Status Quo - Dire Straits - etc etc.
When young - Elvis was what I suppose you might call an 'obsession' - but he then started churning out 2nd rate films every 6 months - and similar to your Bros disappointment - the obsession faded.
Numan's Cars remains a classic - as do many other one-offs - and the pantheon of 'hit' popular music gets larger and larger.
I was never into Duran Duran - but their recent 'revival' - come-back - recalls a good couple of memorable tracks - if not quite as
'classic' as "Relax" - the track which authorities banned from airing on BBC - but could never suppress.
Good stuff lasts - phases come and go (?)

The band Korn, because I love Johnathon Davis, I can really relate to a lot of his songs. I went to see him last month in Brixton :), been a fan since I was 13.

The singer Heather Thompson - a gothic rock singer, she has an amazing voice.

They are the only 'celebs' I like, because I have something to respect them for.

I couldn't make my mind up when I was younger,so alternated between David Cassidy and Donny Osmond.
