Why do celebrities, when they have a baby act like the first person ever to have!

Question: Well, first off, you have to understand that in order to be a celebrity, as in performer, you have to have a rather strong ego in the first place which coincides with being self absorbed. However, this behaviour and mentality is not limited only to the famous. I have relatives that are so self absorbed they think they are the only ones who have children or grandchildren in the entire family. They were never interested in any of the rest of the family's kids or grandkids until they had their own and then they'd email me (and God knows who else!) GIGANTIC photos of their grandkids as if no one on Earth ever had grandkids. Most people ARE self absorbed. That's why people who sacrifice for others are called saints--most people can't and WON'T give up five minutes of television or Internet let alone sacrifice something major for another human being! LOL! That's the saddest part of the human condition. Oh! And if you think that celebrities are overreacting when papparazzi are shooting away? Well, their children are immediately targets for any loony or evil person that intends to kidnap them for ransom or worse. If you don't believe me, just ask Steven Spielberg. Years ago, there was a psychotic fan that wanted to kill Spielberg and his family. This guy managed to get right onto Spielberg's property past the gates and guards and dogs, etc., luckily, no one was home at the time and the man got arrested. Steven understandably was freaked out by it for years. Also, another fanatic got onto Madonna's property, and there was the 'fan' who shot young actress Rebecca Shaefer to death in the 1980's! It's mainly both celebs and the entertainment media who cause (intended) furor over their babies. Those who take threats seriously shield their kids most of the time from the press--Alec Baldwin's famous attack years ago on a photog who was trying to take a shot of his infant is a typical reaction of a celeb parent frustratedly trying to protect their kids. Some celebs manage to keep a lot of privacy but how they do it is a mystery to me. Those celebs usually keep a low profile anyway.

I don't think it's just celebrities. All first time parents tend to do that...because it's the first time for them.

cuz their celebrities

because the press will take a story like that and run it in the ground

Tons of first time parents do that.
even if they arent celebrities.

I suppose, being first time parents, they are just overly happy. Also, when non- celebreties have children, they gush to their families, whereas celebs get the front page of people and vanity fair, and you hear about them being happy becasue their stories and baby pics are everywhere. it's odd though ,considering that all the baby is known for is being born to famous people.

For public relations.. score extra points for their ratings..
However, it may also drag them down if not managed properly..

Because they are celebrities!!

That's every first time parent, not just celebs.

There not just like you or any one else its a happy event of course your going to be thrilled and gushing over your new born. Women in life do this all the time. Its just the spot light is on them at the time there being ask a question about there new infant. what you want them to say yeah i popped one out looks like a baby gozilla.

Everyoen would think she was so mean of her child
