He never was, and now even more so. He sucks, but I have to admit he was good in The Firm and A Few Good men.
He's had a few good movies (I'm a part time bartender so I love Cocktail), and I really enjoyed Mission: Impossible (the first one, not the second, and to a certain degree the 3rd one was good too), but all in all, I'm not a huge fan. He's talented, but his current frame of mind is really detracting from his acting abilities. I applaud him for being so enthusiastic about his religion, but I deplore him for trying to shove it down everyone's throat.
So, the short answer is, no. He's not one of my favorite actors. He's good. Just not my favorite.
