Was anyone disappointed at how horrible Amy Winehouse sounded at the Grammys?!
Question: I couldn't understand the majority of the songs, whether it was nerves, drugs, or alcohol she should have been top-notch.

She sounded great to me under the circumstances. It was so nice to her win her awards....she seemed genuinely surprised. Maybe this is the positive thing she needed at this point in her life to make her realize what a dead end being a drug addict can be. We all know that her drug use was the inspiration to her smash hit Rehab....now maybe the song can be her inspiration to want to change. I'm wishing Amy all the best.....she is a great talent!!!!!
Thought she performed really well. There were a couple of bits i couldn't really understand, but otherwise i thought she gave a good performance. Shame she couldn't have performed at the actual Grammy's.
I think she is a disappointment live, but it is because she sounds so good in the studio she can never sound that good in person.

flyness3 - sorry to say I don't agree. How will it help her exactly? She won all these awards IN that condition - it'll just serve to reinforce all the cr*p she's doing in her life. Do the people who hand out the awards think they can help straighten her out by 'rewarding' her bad behaviour and putting some trophies on her mantle? Will it show her the world cares about her and her unfortuante plight???
Rehab's not an outright TERRIBLE song, but it's by no means the best of the year. This was the first time I've ever seen AW perform and I had to wonder what all the hype was about?! I read someone else this morning saying that she looked like she had to pee... I was as stunned after her performance as she looked during it.
My first impression is that she's pretty seriously overrated. Is one moderately decent song enough to garner all this attention and all these awards?
Contrary to what some people seem to believe being deserving of awards ISN'T just all about talent (which I personally don't think she has much of.) It's about image, performance, professionalism, responsibility, having a little class AND having a good voice. (Or at least it should be about all that!!)
Where album of the year is concerned I'm pretty disappointed in the outcome of this year's Grammy's. Beyonce... JT... even Rihanna... and AMY wins album of the year??? What the heck!?! (I gotta add, I'm not an huge fan, but Beyonce looked fantastic!)

I was really expecting her to blow me away since she is all the rave & all. I thought she looked extremely uncomfortable, awkward & amateur-ish trying to dance with those little sticks she calls legs. It was almost like she was responding to prompts off stage.
I'm not a new fan.
