Does Jesse Lacey (of Brand New) have schizophrenia?!
Question: A friend and I were discussing Brand New, since it's one of our favourite bands, and we got onto the topic of their lyrical style and the way that Jesse writes. Anyway my friend tells me that the band members pretty fckued up, so i ask how so? And he goes on to tell me that Jesse and one of the other members suffer from severe depression and shizophrenia and that he'd read it in articles...
Now i'm a massive fan of Brand New and read articles all the time but have never come across any saying this..
I googled it and nothing really came up, just that some inspiration for a couple songs come from people that Jesse knew that had shizophrenia, but nothing about HIM actually having it.
I'm just curous that's all.

No I don't think he has it, but one of his friends is bipolar. I read that that's where they got the name for 'The Devil and God...' from, his friend said it once to describe his illness.

Sorry - seriously now - I don't think he does - like you say nothing on google. It is quite possible he's bene influenced by others having it. Often it's clearer to those on the outside than it is to those who are actually experiencing it first hand.
I'd agree with you and say no.
