Kelly Clarkson. Despite what people are saying recently about Carrie being the most successful idol, the truth is Kelly is undoubtedly the most succesful. Kelly hasn't just been an AMERICAN Idol, but she is hugely popular worldwide. Due to Carrie's country style, she will never become famous outside of hickville states.
Also, Kelly has sold more records than any other idol and had most top 10 singles and radio play.
Plus, I personally love her because she is so diverse. She can pull off pop, rock, r&b, blues, gospel, you name it. Her voice is one of a kind.
