I always have been a Tom Cruise fan and do not intend to stop enjoying his films. It's awfully petty that people dismiss actors and actresses for some very silly reasons. Try judging other artists that way, too, then. Oh! I guess some people do that already.
He's not being destructive, is he? He's expressing his own opinions. People have to listen to opinions every day from Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, etc. So, what's the problem with Tom Cruise?
Questions like this tend to be annoying to me. Of course there are many fans left. Many of us aren't quite that fickle. As I said before, what a petty reason to dismiss someone! I guess it fits in to a time when people freak out over the following and more:
1) a character in a popular series of novels is "outed" by the author
2) an author of a book turned into a movie has beliefs they don't agree with so they condemn the film, ignoring the fact that the novels have been popular for quite a while
3) celebrities can say things they're condemned for, yet the same things can be read throughout Y!A by a worldwide community
4) rumors are welcomed or even started, with people taking no responsibility for spreading them and even adding to them
I find all of those things "hideously annoying"~~not a man expressing his opinions. Did GWB decide to outlaw that, too?
I liked him in a handful of movies but that's about it.
Never did like him - nor his movies!
